Views of AlfaGraze 300RR planted in September 2006.  Roundup was sprayed to suppress grass competition just before planting alfalfa or just after the alfalfa seedlings began to grow. By November the alfalfa was well established and could be grazed for brief periods.  Alfalfa that was growing where the grass was not suppressed was less than half the size of those growing without grass competition.  Drill rows of alfalfa are perpendicular to the strips sprayed with Roundup at 22 oz./acre.
