| DESCRIPTION | |
| Germination: | From late summer through fall. |
| Reproduction: | Seeds maturing in May-June. |
| Stems: | Mostly erect, some bending and rooting at lower nodes. |
| Leaves: | Narrow, no hairs, boat shaped tip. |

Flowers/ Inflorescence: |
Spikelets in pyramidal panicle, lemma hairy on nerves. |
| Fruit: | Seed falling intact with lemma and palea, no awn. |
FOUND: |
Statewide, primarily in thinning stands, along brushy areas. |
CONTROL: |
Not competitive, so usually dont worry about control. Plants will be controlled in established stands with January-February applications of SINBAR or VELPAR. |
